Last year as a sophomore, Fairfield Ludlowe's Tess Stapleton followed up her CIAC State Open indoor title in the 55 meter hurdles with a CIAC State Open outdoor title as well in the 100 meter hurdles with a personal best performance of 14.10. The time put well clear ahead of the rest of the field with another sophomore in New Britain's Raven Symone Jarrett (14.89) taking second place.
