All-Time Records at Wickham Invite
The state's biggest invitational of the fall cross-country season has arrived with more than 2,000 runners from middle to high school converging on the scenic grounds of Wickham Park in Manchester this Saturday for the Wickham Park Invitational.
In last year's meet, recent William Hall graduate Ari Klau held off Glastonbury's Randy Neish and Cheshire's Brandon Murray to capture the Championship Race. Neish and Murray, who both won events this past weekend, will be back as well as a long list of talented harriers from CT and beyond. Neish is fresh off a victory at the Woods Trail Run in Thetford, Vt., while Murray comes into the meet a week removed from his first-place effort at the Nonnewaug Invitational. Staples and William Hall, who were 1-2 in the team standings, are back again.
In the girls' races, Tolland's Hayley Collins is the top returning runner from the Championship Race. She was fourth in 2014. Tolland, a runner-up to Coe-Brown, N.H., last year, is among the favorites this weekend.
The Wickham Park Invite will feature 15 races, beginning with middle-school events and ending with the Championship Races.
MileSplit CT will have it all covered with photos, videos and more!
