FACILITY

The meet will be held at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven, CT on the campus of Hillhouse High School 480 Sherman Parkway New Haven, CT. It is a six-lane 200-meter flat track, with 6 lanes on the turns and 7 on the straightaway with a Martin 2000 surface.

REGISTRATION & FEES

Registration will be done on Athletic.net with a deadline date of January 3 at 8 am. Coaches you do not have to complete the ONLINE INTENT TO ENTER FORM. COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS OF ENTRIES DUE. The cost to compete will be $6 for each event entered and $ 15 per relay. Checks are to be made payable to HILLHOUSE HIGH SCHOOL and can be mailed to Bob Davis @ Hillhouse High School 480 Sherman Parkway, New Haven, CT. 06511

ENTRY LIMITS

Athletes may compete in 3 events; no boy/girl may be entered in more than 3 events including relays. Entry as an alternate count as one of the athlete's 3 events.

Schools are allowed to run 1 relays per event

Event entry limit of the first 96 entries in each event

No limit of entries per team in each event. We are only measuring marks that meet the minimum standard.

High Jump: (Girls then Boys) Five alive protocol (Boys Starting Height 50", Girls 4 4)

Long Jump: (Boys then Girls) (Minimum Entry Distance: Boys 180", Girls 140")

Shot Put: (Boys then Girls) (Minimum Entry Distance: Boys 360", Girls 220")

Pole Vault: (Girls then Boys) Five alive protocol (Boys Starting Height: 100", Girls 80")

*NEW FOR THIS YEAR*

We will be conducting a scored throws challenge within three of the meets held this indoor season in honor of deceased Tolland Throws Coach Corey Posey. We will score the boys and girls shot put at the following meet points 10-8-6-4-2-1-. 1- 6th place. The Hillhouse Invite the Elm City Coaches Meet and the Hillhouse Classic. The winner will be announced after the Hillhouse Classic on January 25. The top six throwers have to participate in all 3 meets. The winner will be awarded the "Corey Posey Championship" belt given by Express Medals out of East Hartford. Places 2-6 will receive medals.

MEET RULES

Athletes may use pyramid spikes no larger than 3/16th of an inch (no needle spikes allowed). Only Member High Schools of the CIAC & The National Federation can: compete in this meet along with bordering states of New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. NHSF & CIAC rules will govern the meet. Please do not bring your blocks athletes have to use the blocks provided by the Floyd Little Athletic Center.

EXTRA INFO

General admission will be $7.00 adults and $5.00 for students 18 years and younger. Food, drinks, candy will be available. Meet T-shirts and souvenirs will be sold.
