Class LL's Top Runners
A stellar group of Class LL runners graduated last year, but there's a strong pack of striving striders coming back for 2021.
Kali Holden (Trumbull). The Eagle senior led Trumbull to the FCIAC East division title last fall then placed 4th in the 1600m at the Open in June.
Katherine Sanderson and Nora Holmes (Hall). The Warrior senior duo give Hall a big boost at the top of the lineup and have among the top times for returning runners this year after leading Hall to 2nd place in the CCC-A division last year.
Anna Keeley (Fairfield Ludlowe). The Falcon senior is the top returning runner from last year's FCIAC championship and she had a gorgeous track season highlighted by a Class LL win in the 1600m and a 3rd at the Open.
Jacqueline Izzo, Frenchie Riccio, and Jessica Lombardo (Southington). The Knights' senior Izzo has the 4th fastest 5K time among the LL returning runners, and sophomores Riccio and Lomabardo could be set for big jumps this year.
Katherine Rector and Georgia Keller Ridgefield). The Tiger duo were 3rd and 4th while leading the team to the FCIAC Central title last year, and they will play big roles in the drive for a state championship this year.
Josie Dolan (Staples). The Wrecker senior leads a team that has most of the squad back this year, which usually leads to a lot of good things.
