The top four speedsters in CT were at Class S, and three of them made it through as the top trio at the Open. Though the complexion of the 55m contest changed drastically when top-ranked Andraya Yearwood false-started in prelims, the field will still be loaded. S champ Chelsea Mitchell, reigning champ Terry Miller, and S 3rd place finisher Kedarjah Lewis are expected to repeat their close match of last week, and dead-heat LL finishers Stella Ofei and Peyton McNamara should also be in there. L champ Shelby Dejana would likely have a 55H final shortly beforehand to contend with, but she might consider the hurdle stint a warm-up for the sprint final. Miller won last year in a time that is below the official state record, and Mitchell was 3rd.
Record Hunt: It's not totally clear what the Open and state records are anymore, so we'll leave it to others to figure out the legalities and odds.
