It's Conference Championships Time!

Wed., 10/19       CCC Championship, Wickham Park- Manchester, 3:00 pm

Boys: Defending Champions- Glastonbury

Top Returners- Chris Reeves of Glastonbury, Josh Bedard of Tolland and Solomon Davis of Simsbury

Individuals- The top returners are all having great seasons, but Joe Pearl of Manchester beat most of the top runners in the CCC at Wickham and in the process improved over a minute and a half over his time last year on the course.    This should put him as the favorite going into the meet.

Teams- Hall surprised the state with their win over Xavier at the Wickham Invitational. Their 27 second 1-5 man gap will make them hard to beat.  Tolland, Glastonbury, East Catholic and Manchester were all within 32 points of each other at Wickham which should make it very interesting to see who gets the runner up trophy.

Girls: Defending Champions: Glastonbury, 6th man tie breaker over Tolland

Top Returners- Katherine DeLoreto and Hayley Collins of Tolland.

Individuals- After going 1-2 in the championship race at Wickham, the Tolland duo should repeat their performance from last year going 1-2 again.

Teams- Tolland will be looking to take back the title from Glastonbury after they lost on a 6th man tie breaker last year.  The Tolland Eagles are as strong as ever up front, but the Glastonbury Tomahawks hope to use their superior depth to challenge the defending State Open Champions. Simsbury and Avon are also having strong seasons and hope to take home a trophy from the 33 team mega conference.
