Throughout the week, CT MileSplit will feature some of the top athletes that will be competing at the New Balance National Indoor Championships this weekend (March 13-15),
Hannah DeBalsi, Staples
What can you say about this junior standout. She has won numerous high-level races during her outstanding career, including the two mile at last year's outdoor nationals. A week after that meet she broke 10 minutes at the Brooks PR Invitational by placing second with a time of 9:55.05. Hannah hasn't had her typical dominate year due to an injury at the start of the cross-country season, but she still has had quite a bit of success. She's got a great confidence-booster for the nationals a few weeks ago at the New England meet, which she won easily with the country's fastest time of 10:26.09. She will certainly be tested in this race. Also scheduled to run is Ryen Frazier of North Carolina's Ravenscroft, the second-place finisher at FootLocker Cross Nationals, who has run 4:41 for the mile this year and has clocked times of 10:25 for two miles and 10:12 for 3,200m. There's also Virginia's Madeline Davidson, the top-ranked 3K runner in the country with a best of 9:47.
