The University of Connecticut men's track and field team will kick off their indoor season at the 28th annual Yale Intercollegiate Track Classic in New Haven on Saturday, January 9 at Coxe Cage.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Seton Hall track field squads returned to action on Saturday and sent six athletes to the BIG EAST Indoor Championships at the Yale Invitational on Saturday. Sophomore Sean Schnarr (Somerset, N.J.) ran the finals of the 60-meter hurdles in 8.31 to earn a spot at the BIG EAST Championships. Junior Nick Frimpong (East Hartford, Conn.) hit a mark of 1.96 meters in the high jump for a berth at the conference championships. Senior Jernail Hayes (Newark, Del.) and freshman Ivanique Kemp (Nassau, Bahamas) both hit BIG EAST standard times in the 60-meter dash, clocking in at 7.66 and 7.67, respectively. Kemp also improved her BIG EAST qualifying time by .28 seconds with a time of 8.63 in the 60-meter hurdles.
