Four athletes from the state of Connecticut will be traveling to Seattle, Washington to compete in the ultra fast Brooks PR Invitational. Precious Holmes (Hillhouse, CT), who is scheduled to compete in the 400m, just set a US#1 mark in the 600m (1:31.23) and a US#2 mark in the 300m (38.56) at the CT State Open Championships. Sydney Over (Windsor, CT) will join her in that event, and ran a tune-up 400m race of 57.39 to win the USATF New England Indoor Track Championships last weekend. Holmes’ teammate Kellie Davis was invited to run the 800m where she boasts a 2:10.6 personal best. She knocked-off an impressive distance triple at the CT Open Championships; winning the 1600m, placing second in the 1000m, and third in the 3200m. Connor Rog of Fairfield Prep, CT adds the Brooks PR Invitational to the list of prestigious events that he has been invited to participate in this season. Rog placed 7th at the Millrose Games mile (4:19.66), but did not participate in the CT Open Championships. He was out of town on a ski trip and should have some fresh legs.
