Connecticut high school track and field athletes posted several personal records during meets held April 13-15.
Nelson Rodriguez (Waterbury Career Academy) jumped 22-1 in the long jump at WCA @ Watertown on April 14, improving from his previous best of 19-5 set in February 2026. The mark ranks #12 in Connecticut and set a school record for Waterbury Career Academy. Rodriguez also posted a personal record in the triple jump, going 41-7.5 after entering with a best of 37-8.
Cindy Cobbinah (Hotchkiss School) ran 13.13 in the 100 meters at the Choate Track & Field Tri-Meet 2 on April 15, dropping from her previous personal record of 13.74 set in May 2025. The sophomore ranks #61 in the state and #10 among sophomores.
McKenzie Dykes (Ledyard High School) clocked 13.34 in the 100 meters at the Bacon Academy Invitational on April 15, improving from 13.94 set in April 2026. Dykes also ran a personal record 27.54 in the 200 meters, bettering her previous mark of 28.44.
Teo Della Pietra (Greenwich Country Day School) ran 11.41 in the 100 meters at the FAA League Meet on April 15, dropping nearly a full second from his previous best of 12.25 set in April 2026. The sophomore ranks #67 in Connecticut and #8 among sophomores.
Laso Kelleh (Granby High School) ran 11.43 in the 100 meters at Coventry/Granby at Suffield on April 14, improving from 12.16 set in April 2026. The senior ranks #69 in the state and #19 among seniors.
Abigail Pierre-louis (Bunnell High School) ran 25.84 in the 200 meters at Bunnell v Bullard Havens on April 13, dropping from her previous personal record of 27.86 set in January 2026. The freshman ranks #9 in Connecticut and #1 among freshmen. Pierre-louis also jumped a personal record 15-6 in the long jump, improving from 13-2.5.
Zuri Flemming (Trumbull High School) ran 13.40 in the 100 meters at Trumbull at New Canaan on April 14, improving from her previous best of 13.84. The time ranks #106 in Connecticut.
