Another One Bites the Dust: Sherry Busts CT State Record

It was always destined to happen at some point, and on the first night of New Balance Indoors Nationals, Gavin Sherry not only picked up a national championship but also took down Alex Ostberg's 2015 record for the 2 mile, also set in an NBIN win, with a 8:48.59 time. Sherry took the lead at the mile mark and held off challenges the rest of the way. CT dominated here, as Gavin's brother Callum almost equaled Gavin in the last 400m with a 59.93 split that moved him from 4th to 2nd with a finish time of 8:50.60, and Aidan Puffer took 4th with a time of 8:52.33.

It's the first day of Nationals, and things are really starting to heat up.
