How does the NVL boys meet look like "on paper"? Derby, behind the efforts of Ken Little in the distance events, Ja'kwan Hale in the high jump and their outstanding throwing squad of Trista Pruzinsky, Davon Wilson and Brian Jalowiec hope to go for a three-peat.
One of the most exciting race might be Edward Williams of Sacred Heart in the 55HH. The junior won the Yale Invitational last weekend with a time of 7.51, which is the 15th best time in the country. He will try to take down Andrew Corridore of Naugatuck's meet record of 7.86 set in 2007.
Other meet records that could go down are Derby's Enis Bukalo throw of 54' 06 in the shot by Pruzinsky who has a best of 56'7 this season. Aren Seeger of Naugatuck set the meet record in the 300m with a time of 36.47 last year and has already run faster this year with a time of 36.48. Ken Little has been having an outstanding season and has won races from 500m to 3200m with fast times and is entered in the 1000m and 3200m. Both could go down if he is challenged.
