CIAC State Open Central (new start time, 10 a.m.)

It's that time!

A LONG winter of indoor track & field in Connecticut comes to a close this Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. (NEW time), with the CIAC State Open Championships at the Floyd Little Athletic Center. Other top athletes will move on with the upcoming New England Championships (Feb. 27) and New Balance Nationals (March 13-15), but this weekend's meet will be the final stop for a good portion of the state, who earned the right to represent their schools.

CT MileSplit will provide complete coverage of the CIAC State Open. Who will win this year? Can Bloomfield and Wilbur Cross defend their titles in the boys' and girls' meets? How about individually, where there's a plethora of national-caliber athletes that are scheduled to compete such as Darien's Alex Ostberg, Staples' Hannah DeBlasi, Wilbur Cross's Danae Rivers, Wilton's Spencer Brown, Coginchaug's Jessica Drop, Hillhouse's Alethia Moore, Staples' Anthony Bravo and Bloomfield's Paul May? Who will come out on top and will be there be any surprises, a common occurrence on track & field's biggest stage. It should be interesting.

Below you'll find everything you'll need for this week's States! ENJOY!
