Welcome

You are invited to the 68th Lindy J. Remigino Indoor Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, January 8, 2011. The former Hartford Public High School Indoor Invite now proudly bears the name of two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, long-time HPHS coach and current honorary meet director. The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team in accordance with the CIAC Border sanction with NY, MA, RI and according to posted event standards. The meet will be held at the Bacon Fieldhouse-Freeman Athletic Center at Wesleyan University in Middletown CT.

Timing Services:

The 68th Lindy J. Remigino Indoor Track and Field Invitational has contracted with NorthEast Sports Timing Service to provide the highest quality timing services for each track event.

Entry Rules and Limits:

Limit of 2 entries per event per school.
Limit of 3 events per athlete.
No boy/girl may be entered in more than three (3) events, including relays. Entry as a relay team member or alternate counts as one of the athlete's three (3) events.
Event Entry limits are at the discretion of the meet director due to the capacity of the facility's parking lot, restrooms and field house.

Registration:

Coaches who intend to attend the meet are required to submit and print an online Intent to Enter form as detailed on the Registration Instructions page by Tuesday Dec. 28, 2010.
Coaches are required to sign the Intent to Enter since meet management has contracted with USATF for Certificate of Liability Insurance. In signing and submitting the Intent to Enter with payment, the Coach releases the meet organizers, volunteers and officials, and USATF from claims for damages.

Deadline for entry is 6:00pm Eastern, Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011.
No late entries or day of meet entries accepted.
All meet registration is administered by MySportsResults.com EZ Meet Services.
Entry Fees - Checks:

Entry fees are charged for entering the meet as designated by your completed/signed Intent to Enter form. You owe for a team entry made online. No refunds of meet entry for scratches or "no-shows".
The entry fee is $220.00 for each school with a Boys and Girls Team. ($110.00 Men and Women each team). Minimum team fee: $110.00. Teams are defined as 4 or more athletes. Schools with 1, 2 or 3 athletes participating are charged $30.00 per athlete.
All Entry Fee Balances MUST be paid before the start of the meet in order for a team to compete.
Standard Payment Types accepted include cash, personal and school checks prior to the start of the meet.
Special Payment Type: Coaches can submit personal checks for the entire amount in addition to a school purchase order of the same amount. The personal check will be held in escrow. The personal check will be returned to the coach (voided) once the school PO check is received by meet management. If the school PO has not been received 15 days after the meet date (1/24/2011) then the personal check will be deposited as payment. The coach will be reimbursed by meet management for the same amount once the PO Check is received.

Meet Rules:

Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:

The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team in accordance with the CIAC Border sanction with NY, MA, RI.
Field House Rules Spikes are allowed - We would prefer athletes use 1/4" pyramid spikes, but 3/16" pyramid spikes are allowed.
No Food will be allowed in the Field House. Water bottles are permitted but should be discarded in the provided receptacles.
You must clean up your team area at the conclusion of the meet.
Awards:

Event Scoring: 10-8-6-4-2-1
Medals to the top 6 places in each event
Team Awards: Silver Revere Bowls to 1st and 2nd places.
There are also special individual awards:
Best in Track (M&W), Best in Field (M&W), Most Valuable Performer (M&W) and the Russell Scott Mile (M)
Doctor/Trainer:

An Athletic Trainer is on site during meet.

Implement Check:

All implements must be checked in by an inspector prior to use in the meet. Violators will be disqualified for using implements that have not passed meet inspection.

Spectator Entry Fee: Due to the increasing costs of running the meet a $5 general admission fee will be charged for all spectators entering the Bacon Fieldhouse. Coaches and participating athletes are exempt from the admission fee.
