Information Sheet

Welcome to the 1st Annual Hillhouse Indoor Track and Field Classic

Weve listed several important items for your information. Good Luck to all the athletes and coaches

FACILITY

The meet will be held at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven, CT on the campus of Hillhouse High School 480 Sherman Parkway New Haven, CT. It is a six-lane 200-meter flat track, with 6 lanes on the turns and 7 on the straightaway with a Martin 2000 surface.

REGISTRATION & FEES

Registration will be done on Athletic.net with a deadline date of December 19 at 12noon. Schools will be charged for entering online even if they do not show up to the meet. We will not accept entries from clubs or individuals. Coaches you do not have to complete the ONLINE INTENT TO ENTER FORM. The cost to compete will be $7.00 for each Individual event entered and $15.00 per relay entered. If there is a situation where you have missed an athlete or want to move an athlete there will be a meet day cost of $20 per issue. *NEW FOR THIS YEAR*

We will be conducting a scored throws challenge within three of the meets held this indoor season in honor of deceased Tolland Throws Coach Corey Posey. We will score the boys and girls shot put at the following meet points 10-8-6-4-2-1-. 1- 6th place. The Hillhouse Invite the Elm City Coaches Meet and the Hillhouse Classic. The winner will be announced after the Hillhouse Classic on January 25. The top six throwers have to participate in all 3 meets. The winner will be awarded the "Corey Posey Championship" belt given by Express Medals out of East Hartford. Places 2-6 will receive medals.

ENTRY LIMITS:

Athletes may compete in 3 events; no boy/girl may be entered in more than 3 events including relays. Entry as an alternate count as one of the athlete's three events.

Each boy or girl team may only enter 6 athletes per individual event.

Schools are allowed to run 2 relays per event.

Athletes will have to make minimum marks to continue with a measure of marks:

Shot Put- Boys 35' and Girls 23';

Long Jump - Boys 18' and Girls-13

High Jump Starting Heights - Girls: 3'10 and Boys 4'8"

Pole Vault Starting Heights - Girls: 7'0" and Boys 9'0"

MEET RULES:

Athletes may use pyramid spikes no larger than 3/16th of an inch (no needle spikes allowed). Only Member High Schools of the CIAC & The National Federation can: compete in this meet along with bordering states of New York, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. NHSF & CIAC rules will govern the meet.

TIMING COMPANY

Timing and results provided by House/Hawks Timing & Bloomfield Timing services.

AWARDS

Top three in each event will receive medals.

EXTRA INFO

General admission will be $7.00 adults and $5.00 for students 18 years and younger. Food, drinks, candy will be available. Meet T-shirts and souvenirs will be sold.
