NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Two members of  the Southern Connecticut State University women's track and field team have received Northeast-10 weekly awards.

Sophomore Michelle Grecni (Danbury, Conn.) has been named the Co-Field Athlete  of the Week, while junior Titilayo Vanriel (Hartford, Conn.) was named to the weekly honor roll.

Grecni led the Owls at the Yale Invitational in the pole vault in first place and an NCAA provisional mark at 3.80m. Grecni's mark was fourth in Division II.

Vanriel also finished in first in the 800m in 2:17.20. She also finished in fourth in the one-mile race at 5:08.42.

The Owls will next compete at the Great Dane Classic in Manhattan, N.Y. on Friday.
