NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Two athletes finished in first place as the Southern Connecticut State University women's track and field team competed at the Yale Invitational in New Haven, Conn.

Michelle Grecni (Danbury, Conn.) led the Owls in the pole vault in first place and an NCAA provisional mark at 3.80m.

Titilayo Vanriel (Hartford, Conn.) also finished in first in the 800m in 2:17.20. Vanriel also finished in fourth in the one-mile race at 5:08.42.

In the relays, the 4X400 of Rachel Van Gilder (Enfield, Conn.), Jasmine Bien-Aime (Cambridge, Mass.), Marveline Carter (Bloomfield, Conn.) and Brittany Niemczyk (Vernon, Conn.) finished fifth in 4:04.44.

Niemczyk also finished fifth in the 400m in 59.64 seconds.
