RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Southern Connecticut State University women's track and field team opened the 2012 season in the Manhattan Season Opener in Riverdale, N.Y.

Jasmine Bien-Aime (Cambridge, Mass.) won in the 60m dash in 7.5 seconds. Bien-Aime came in second in the 300m dash in 41.5.

Brittany Niemczyk (Vernon, Conn.) won in the 500m dash in 1:20.2. Niemcyzk was fifth in long jump also at 4.69.

Meghan Nicolletta (East Hampton, Conn.) finished fourth in the pole vault at 2.95.
