JAMESVILLE, N.Y. - The SCSU women's cross country team competed to a third-place finish today at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships (5k) at Jamesville Beach Park in Jamesville, N.Y.

The Owls had seven competitors, and finished in third with 124 points. All of the Owls finished in solid fashion and in the top 68.

Stonehill went on to win their fourth straight conference title with 65 points.

Graduate student Courtney Dinnan (Hamden, Conn.) led the team with in third place with a time of 18:44.0. Dinnan also earned Northeast-10 Conference First Team honors from the meet with the performance.

Junior Titilayo Vanriel (Hartford, Conn.) was next for the Owls in 13th place with a time of 19:17.6. Vanriel also earned Northeast-10 Conference Second Team honors with her performance.

Three Owls next finished near each other as junior Nicole Strauss (Shelton, Conn.) finished 36th in 20:06.1, sophomore Sarah Vaughan (Hamden, Conn.) finished 38th in 20:13.7, and freshman Emily Taylor (Guilford, Conn.) finished 41st in 20:21.5.

Seniors Kiara Bonilla (Bristol, Conn.) and Jaclyn Sullivan (Lisbon, Conn.) rounded out the performances. Bonilla finished 58th in 20:55.1, and Sullivan finished 68th in 21:02.1.
