WESTFIELD, Mass. - Graduate student Courtney Dinnan (Hamden, Conn.) led the Southern Connecticut State University women's cross country team with an eighth place individual finish as the Owls competed at the New England Championships at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass.

Dinnan finished with a time of 17:40.02 in the 5k race.

The Owls had seven participants in the race, and totaled 530 points for an 18th place team finish.

The Owls next compete at the Conn College Invitational in Waterford, Conn. on Oct. 13.
