NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Graduate student Courtney Dinnan (Hamden, Conn.) placed first as the Southern Connecticut State University women's cross country team competed today at the RiverHawks Cross Country Invitational in Nashua, N.H.

The Owls placed third out of the eight competing teams, with seven participants.

Dinnan had a time of 18:19.

Freshman Emily Taylor (Guilford, Conn.) finished ninth with a time of 19:15. Junior Nicole Strauss (Shelton, Conn.) finished 18th with a time of 19:33.

The Owls return to action on Sept. 22 for the CCSU Ted Owen CC Invitational.
