NEW HAV EN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University head men's cross country/track and field coach John Wallin has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2012 season. The Owls are coming off a season in which they were ranked as high as No. 20 nationally and No. 2 in the region during the year. SCSU also finished second at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, its highest finish in school history.

The Owls open the season at the Stony Brook Season Opener on Sept. 1. They will then participate in the Fordham Fiasco Invitational on Sept. 8. The squad will then travel to the CCSU Ted Owen Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 22 to end the month.

The month of October will open with the New England Championships on Oct. 7. The Owls will then travel to the Connecticut College Invitational on Oct. 13. The Northeast-10 Conference Championships will be held the following week on Oct. 20.

The NCAA Division II Northeast Regional will be on Nov. 3. The NCAA Division II Championships will be held on Nov. 17.
