Selasi Lumax competed at the African Track and Field Championships this week.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Selasi Lumax (Somerset, N.J.) of the Southern Connecticut State University men's track and field team competed at the African Track and Field Championships representing Ghana earlier this week. Lumax earned a spot in the field after winning Ghana's national title in the 800 meters.

He placed third in his heat at the African Championships.

Lumax had also qualified for the 2012 United States Olympic Trials by virtue of his mark of 1:47.34 in winning the 800 meters at the New England Indoor Track and Field Championships earlier this year. He was an All-American in the 800 meters, 4x400 relay and distance medley relay during the indoor campaign for the Owls.
