PUEBLO, Colo. - Nick Lebron (Newington, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University men's outdoor track and field team led the way for the Owls on day one of the NCAA Championships on Thursday. He is currently fifth in the decathlon with a score of 3,710 points.

Josh Perry (Naugatuck, Conn.) took part in the 1500 meter prelims and finished 16th with a time of 4:08.62.

Teammates Connor Coleman (Gunnison, Colo.) and Joseph Poulsen (Oxford, Conn.) also competed on Thursday in the decathlon and 3,000 meter steeplechase, respectively, but did not score.
