Escaravage Wins Decathlon; Owls Second After Day Two Of New Englands

Justin Escaravage (Brookfield, Conn.) captured the New England Championship in the decathlon with a two-day score of 6,470 points as the Southern Connecticut State University men's outdoor track and field team sits in second place entering the final day of competition at the New England Championships.
Omar Gonzalez (Bristol, Conn.) placed second in the javelin to earn All-New England accolades after a toss of 62.97 meters.
A.J. Guerra (Stafford Springs, Conn,) finished third in the hammer throw with a heave of 57.46 meters.
Also collecting All-New England honors on Friday was
Jason Polakowski (Essex Junction, Vt.), who was seventh in the decathlon.
The final day of competition wraps up tomorrow.
