PRINCETON, N.J. – Brian Nill (Ridge, N.Y.) of the Southern Connecticut State University men's outdoor track and field team posted a second place time of 3:52.15 in the 1,500 meter run open event on the final day of the Larry Ellis Invitational held in Princeton, N.J. With his mark, he is the No. 20 ranked student athlete in the 1,500 meters for Division II this season.

The throwing specialists of A.J. Guerra (Stafford Springs, Conn.) and Enis Buaklo (Derby, Conn.) continued to put up solid marks for the Owls. Guerra finished ninth in the hammer throw laying claim to a toss of 57.27 meters, while Buaklo was 14th in the shot put open with a heave of 15.56 meters. Buaklo competed in the discus throw and reached a mark of 47.02 meters with a 13th place effort.

Competing in the 4 x 100 meter relay open event, Russell Fallo (Redding, Conn.), Stenson Jean-Baptiste (Stratford, Conn.), Thomas Phommalinh (New Britain, Conn.), and Twayne Forth (Brooklyn, Conn.) finished ninth with a time of 42.19 just seven-hundredths of a second out of the top-8. Forth also managed a time of 48.81 with a 16th place finish in the 400 meter open event followed closely by his fellow teammate, Jean-Baptiste, nipping at his heels in 17th place with a time of 48.86. Fallo competed in the 100 meter open to claim a 34th best time of 11:18.

Nick Lebron (Newington, Conn.) managed to finish 16th in the 110 meter hurdles open with a time of 15:37 followed by Connor Coleman (Gunnison, Colo.) in 24th with a time of 15.86. Coleman also finished 13th in the javelin throw open with a mark of 56.81 meters followed closely by Omar Gonzalez (Bristol, Conn.) in 16th with a distance of 56.17 meters.

Lebron, Jean-Baptiste, Brian Robbins (Bristol, Conn.), and Forth competed in the 4 x 400 meter relay open. Their combined time was 3:20.08. Also in the event, the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Adham Conaway (New Haven, Conn.), Josh Perry (Naugatuck, Conn.), Coleman, and Nill were 23rd with a time of 3:22.02.

The Owls will be back in action next week for the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa. on April 26-28.
