Logan Sharpe was one of three Owls named to the NE-10 Men's Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Three members of the Southern Connecticut State University men's indoor track and field team – senior Stenson Jean-Baptiste (Stratford, Conn.), junior Logan Sharpe (Esperance, N.Y.) and sophomore A.J. Guerra (Stafford Springs, Conn.) – have been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for selection to the academic all-conference teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference teams are chosen by a vote of a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FAR).

Jean-Baptiste was named to the All-Academic Team for the third consecutive year and has been selected both indoors and outdoors. This winter, he collected All-America honors once again in the 4x400 relay and was also a New England champion and All-Region selection in that event. Jean-Baptiste also earned All-New England honors in the 400 meters. He is a sociology major with a 3.43 GPA.

Sharpe is also a repeat selection, as he was named to both the indoor and outdoor All-Academic Teams last year. He was an All-American in both the 4x400 relay and the distance medley relay this season. In addition, he was a New England champion in the 4x400 relay and was named All-Region in the 400 meters, 4x400 relay and distance medley relay. Sharpe was also All-New England in the 400 meters and a Northeast-10 Conference Champion in the 4x800 relay. He is an exercise science major with a 3.49 GPA.

Guerra is a first-time honoree to the squad. He was named All-Region in the weight throw and was also the Northeast-10 Conference runner-up in that event. Guerra is a physics major with a 3.41 GPA.
