Roadrunner Invitational Meet Results

MAHWAH, N.J. – Members of the Southern Connecticut State University men's outdoor track and field team recorded numerous wins in different events to finish third overall with 100 points at the Roadrunner Invitational held today on the Ramapo College campus. The 4 x 100 meter relay team consisting of Russell Fallo (Redding, Conn.), Thomas Phommalinh (New Britain, Conn.), Jean-Baptiste, and Twayne Forth (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished first with a time of 42.59.

Justin Escaravage (Brookfield, Conn.) was first in the pole vault clearing a height of 4.65 meters, while Nelson Laskoski (Pomfret Center, Conn.) was second with a mark of 4.50 meters.

Nick Lebron claimed second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.37, while Jason Polakowski (Essex Jct., Vt.) was seventh with a time of 16.07. Polakowski also claimed sixth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 59.83.

Fallo also managed a time of 11.19 to claim sixth in the 100 meter dash.

Stenson Jean-Baptiste (Stratford, Conn.) finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 49.17, while Forth was fourth with a time of 50.39. Forth and Jean-Baptiste also competed in the 200 meter dash. Forth was second with a time of 21.92, while Jean-Baptiste was 21.98 in third.

Enis Bukalo (Derby, Conn.) claimed third in the shot put with a toss of 15.37 meters which surpassed the old meet record of 15.34 meters, while Michael Cameron (Hartford, Conn.) was sixth with a mark of 14.25 meters. Both Bukalo and Cameron finished fourth and fifth in the discus throw with throws of 47.02 and 46.79 meters which both surpassed the previous meet record.

Chris Babcock (New Windosr, N.Y.) finished fifth with a time of 2:00.48 In the 800 meter dash.

Akeem Elliott (Greater Portmore, Jamaica) was third in the triple jump with a distance of 13.15 meters.

Sophomore Adham Conaway finished eighth in the high jump with a height cleared of 1.81 meters.

The Owls will be back in action on Tuesday for the UConn Decathlon Invitational scheduled for a 9 a.m. start time.
