PRINCETON, N.J. – Samantha Spindel (Brewster, N.Y.) and Julianna Williamson (Milford, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University women's outdoor track and field team competed in the hammer throw at the Sam Howell Invitational held on the Princeton University campus held today in Princeton, N.J.

Spindel was fourth in the hammer throw with a heave of 53.02 meters, while Williamson managed 10th place with a distance of 47.16 meters. Spindel is currently ranked 12th in the nation for her hammer throw of 53.15 meters achieved at the Army Dick Shea Open just last weekend on March 30.

The Owls will be back in action tomorrow for the second day of the Sam Howell Invitational and the Roadrunner Invitational.
