Day One Meet Results

MANKATO, Minn. - Michelle Grecni (Danbury, Conn.) and Titilayo Vanriel (Hartford, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University women's indoor track and field team traveled to Minnesota State in Mankato, Minn. to compete in the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Vanriel managed a time of 2:18.96 in the 800 meters and finished in 11th place just outside of qualifying range for the event finals to be held tomorrow. Coming into the championships, she held the 16th best time in the 800 meters achieved at the 2012 Boston University Valentine Invitational on Feb. 10.

Grecni finished 13th in the pole vault clearing a height of 3.6 meters. She claimed the third best vault in all Division II this season of 3.85 meters achieved at the Metropolitan Championships held on Jan. 26.
