NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Multiple student athletes of the No. 15 nationally ranked Southern Connecticut State University women's indoor track and field team received All-Region honors selected by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for indoor track & field in Division II. The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three have earned the All-Region distinction for the 2012 indoor season.

A total of 1,012 athletes receive 1,476 USTFCCCA All-Region nods. The USTFCCCA regions match those used for NCAA Cross Country Championships. The Owls that received honors are as followed:

Michelle Grecni - Pole Vault
Kimberly Johnson - Pole Vault
Nyoshee Lowry - 200 Meters
Nyoshee Lowry - Long Jump
Nyoshee Lowry - Pentathlon
Meghan Nicolletta - Pole Vault
Brittany Niemczyk - 400 Meters
Brittany Niemczyk - Pole Vault
Samantha Spindel - Weight Throw
Titilayo Vanriel - 800 Meters
