NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Two members of the Southern Connecticut State University women's indoor track and field team – sophomore Titilayo Vanriel (Hartford, Conn.) and freshman Michelle Grecni (Danbury, Conn.) – have qualified for the NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships. The event will take place at Minnesota State University, Mankato beginning on March 9.

Grecni posted the fourth best mark in Division II in the pole vault this year. Her leap of 3.85 meters at the Metropolitan Invitational allowed her to qualify for nationals. The 2012 Northeast-10 Conference Field Rookie of the Year, she was the Northeast-10 runner-up in the pole vault and also placed ninth at New England's.

Vanriel will compete in the 800 meters at the NCAA's. She enters the event in the No. 13 spot thanks to a time of 2:13.38 achieved at the Valentine's Invitational. Vanriel also placed fourth at the NE-10 Championships and ninth at New England's in that event.
