Kimberly Johnson records her third straight All-New England honor today in Boston, Mass.
Day One Meet Results

BOSTON, Mass. –The No. 14 nationally ranked Southern Connecticut State University women's indoor track and field team looking to reach their first ever top-10 finish after day one at the New England Championships held in Boston, Mass today. Women's track is currently for 12th place with 6 total points through six events scored.

Helping to lead the charge for the Owls, Kimberly Johnson (Lisbon, Conn.) managed a third place finish in the pole vault en route to All-New England honors for the third straight year. She cleared a height of 3.67 meters.

Ashley Bell (Riverhead, N.Y.) finished fourth in her first heat of the day and seventh in the third section just outside of finals qualifying for the 200 meters. She currently holds the 30th best time in the nation for Division II this season.

Titilayo Vanriel (Hartford, Conn.) qualified sixth with a time of 2:15.46 for the next heat in the 800 meters. She is currently the No. 13 ranked student athlete in the nation for Division II achieved just a few weeks ago at the 2012 Boston University Valentine Invitational.

The Owls will be back for day two of the New England Championships
tomorrow morning.
