Logan Sharpe broke school record in the 400 meters and helped the 4 x 400 meter relay break a school record at Valentine's Invitational.

BOSTON, Mass. – Logan Sharpe (Esperance, N.Y.), Selasi Lumax (Somerset, N.J.) and the 4 x 400 meter relay team of No. 9 nationally ranked Southern Connecticut State University men's indoor track and field team broke a school record in their respective event on the final day of the Valentine's Invitational held in Boston, Mass. today. The 4 x 400 meter relay team consisted of Sharpe, Stenson Jean-Baptiste (Stratford, Conn.), Twayne Forth (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Lumax.

Sharpe finished sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 47.72. He broke the previous school record of Donovan Little set in 1988.

Lumax improved upon his previous school record in the 800 meters with a time of 1:48.7. He managed a seventh place overall finish.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team broke a previous school record en route to a second place overall finish  with a time of 3:12.71. The record was held by Labonte, Woodhouse, O'Connor, and Felix.

Connor Coleman (Gunnison, Colo.) claimed 11th place in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.52.

The Owls will be back in action next weekend to defend their previous 18-straight Northeast-10 Championships at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships to be held on Feb.  18th.
