Kimberly Johnson managed third in the high jump at the Manhattan/Fordham Tri-Meet held today.
MANHATTAN, N.Y. – Freshman Marveline Carter (Bloomfield, Conn.) of the No. 11 nationally ranked Southern Connecticut State University women's indoor track and field team helped pace the Owls at the Manhattan/Fordham Tri-Meet held this evening.  She managed second place in the 500 meter dash with a time of 1:26.0. She also placed third in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.7.

Kelsey Proctor (Guilford, Conn.) led the pace for the Owls in the one mile run followed by Amanda Arcand (Vernon, Conn.) and Kiara Bonilla (Bristol, Conn.). Proctor finished sixth with a time of 5:44.0, while Arcand and Bonilla finished eighth and ninth, respectively.

Freshman Bria Moore (West Hartford, Conn.) claimed fifth in the long jump with a distance of 4.87 meters. Moore also finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 10.6 meters, while Meghan Nicolletta (East Hampton, Conn.) was fourth with a leap of 8.75 meters.

Team captain, Kimberly Johnson (Lisbon, Conn.) managed to clear a height of 1.55 meters in a slight change of pace, trading in the pole vault for a different kind of event. She was third overall.

The Owls will be back in action this weekend for the Valentine's Invitational to be held in Boston, Mass. on Feb. 10-11.
