NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Sophomore Aubrey Dowding (Warwick, R.I.) placed fourth in the shot put with a toss of 11.93 meters to lead the way for the Southern Connecticut State University women's indoor track and field team at the Giegengack Invitational on Saturday.

The Owls also had three participants in the weight throw. Samantha Spindel (Brewster, N.Y.) was sixth with a toss of 14.63 meters. Elizabeth Bashir (Colchester, Conn.) was seventh with a mark of 14.3 meters. Julianna Williamson (Milford, Conn.) was eighth after a toss of 13.84 meters.
