Kiara Bonilla claims 19th in the 3000 meter run today at the Yaler Collegiate Invitational.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Members of the Southern Connecticut State University women's indoor track and field team competed at the Yale Collegiate Invitational held today at Coxe Cage in New Haven, Conn. Leading the Owls in competition, freshman Elizabeth Bashir (Colchester, Conn.) finished fourth in the shot put with a heave of 11.89 meters.

The Owls claimed the 18th through 20th place honors in the 3000 meter run. Amanda Arcand (Vernon, Conn.) was 18th with a time of 11:36.28, while Kiara Bonilla (Bristol, Conn.) and Kelsey Proctor (Guilford, Conn.) followed suit with times of 11:48.89 and 11:51.43, respectively.

Aubrey Dowding (Warwick, R.I.) finished seventh in the shot put with a toss of 11.53 meters.

The Owls will be back in action next weekend for the Great Dane Classic to be held in New York, N.Y. on Jan. 20th with the first events to start at 9 a.m.
