Brittany Niemczyk claimed first place in the 400 meter dash on day two of the Brother Jasper Invitational held today in Manhattan N.Y.

MANHATTAN, N.Y. – Ashley Bell (Riverhead, N.Y.) and Brittany Niemczyk (Vernon, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University women's indoor track and field team claimed first place honors in their respective events on day two of the Brother Jasper Invitational held today. Bell was first in the 60 meter dash, while Niemczyk was first in 400 meter dash.

The Owls managed to claim the top three spots in the 400 meter dash with Niemczyk in first, Raysa Floretino (Groton, Conn.) in second and Bell in third.

The Owls will be back in action for a home meet on Sunday Dec. 11. They will host University of New Haven for the James Barber & Wilton Wright Alumni Track and Field meet scheduled to start at 12 p.m.
