Women's cross country finished 10th at the NCAA Division II East Regional held in Boston, Mass. today.

BOSTON, Mass. – Seven members of the Southern Connecticut State University women's cross country team competed and finished 10th overall battling the 6k course at the NCAA Division II East Regional held today in Boston, Mass. The Owls were led by Titlayo Vanriel (Hartford, Conn.) in 35th with a time of 24:07.8 and Chloe Ashcroft (Shelton, Conn.) in 41st with a time of 24:20.2

Other top finishers for the Owls include: Kiara Bonilla (Bristol, Conn.) in 58th with a time of 24:40.9 and Jaclyn Sullivan (Lisbon, Conn.) in 61st with a time of 24:44.9. Also competing for the Owls were Nicole Strauss (Shelton, Conn.), Amanda Arcand (Vernon, Conn.) and Stephanie Sulkowski (Guilford, Conn.)

Coming into the event, the Owls were ranked fourth in the NCAA Division II East Regional rankings and placed fifth at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship held on Oct. 23rd in Westfield, Mass.

Southern finished ahead of other local schools such as, St. Michael's, College of Saint Rose, and New Haven.
