Perry Eighth, Men’s Cross Country Sixth at NCAA East Regional

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior
Josh Perry (Naugatuck, Conn.)of the Southern Connecticut State University men's cross country team finished eighth overall in the 10k course at the NCAA Division II East Regional held today in Boston, Mass. Perry led the Owls to a sixth place overall finish at the event with a time of 31:59.1.
Other top finishers for the Owls include:
Brian Nill (Ridge, N.Y.) in 32nd place with a time of 33:03.9,
Corey DeLaCruz (Alamogordo, N.M.) in 37th with a time of 33:22.0, and
Paul Ryskowski in 38th with a time of 33:24.8.
Also competing for the Owls were
Asher Brandt (Orange, Conn.),
Selasi Lumax (Somerset, N.J.), and Sam Montclair (Cheshire, Conn.)
Coming into the event, the Owls were ranked No. 22 in the nation according to the week ranking system of the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) weekly poll. They also managed their best overall finish, as a team, in second place at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship held on Oct. 23 in Westfield, Mass.
