NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Southern Connecticut State University women's cross country team remains third in the East Regional this week. The rankings are selected by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) They are coming off a ninth place team finish at the 2011 Metropolitan Championships held in Bronx, N.Y.

The Owls will be back in action Oct. 15 for the Connecticut College Invitational held in Waterford, Conn. scheduled for a 12 p.m. start time.
