Nicole Strauss was the top finisher for the Owls on Saturday.
KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Sophomore Nicole Strauss (Shelton, Conn.) placed 11th overall to lead the Southern Connecticut State University women's cross country team at the Division II Cross Country Invitational at Kutztown University on Saturday. The Owls finished sixth as a team at the competition on the six kilometer course.

Titilayo Vanriel (Hartford, Conn.) claimed 25th place overall and Jaclyn Sullivan (Lisbon, Conn.) took 27th place. Amanda Arcand (Vernon, Conn.) and Kiara Bonilla (Bristol, Conn.) also competed for the Owls.

The Owls finished behind Lock Haven, Shippensburg, SH Alumni, Kutztown and West Chester.

The Owls will be back in action Sept. 30th for the Metropolitain Championships in Van Cortland Park, N.Y. scheduled for an 11 a.m. start time.
