TURLOCK, Calif. – Southern Connecticut State University senior Diwani Augustine (East Hartford, Conn.) earned All-America honors in the long jump during day one action of the 2011 NCAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday evening. He delivered a leap of 23 feet, 11.5 inches to place eighth in that event. Augustine previously captured All-America honors in the triple jump last year and will take part in that event on Saturday.

The Owls will have representatives in the high jump, 800 meters and 4x400 relay tomorrow with additional final round action taking place on Saturday.
