TURLOCK, Calif. – Southern Connecticut State University junior Alasia Griebel (Bristol, Conn.) represented the Owls during day one action of the 2011 NCAA Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday evening. Griebel placed 17th in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:42.71.

Fellow teammates Kimberly Johnson and Brittany Brown will participate tomorrow in the pole vault and 110 hurdles, respectively.
