NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Diwani Augustine (East Hartford, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University men's outdoor track and field team honored with Field Athlete of the Week by the Northeast-10 Conference for his accomplishments over the weekend at the New England Championships held on the Southern campus.

Augustine claimed first and All-New England honors on his final attempt with a distance of 7.40 meters in the long jump. He also collected the New England Championship in the triple jump on Saturday with a mark of 49 feet, 9.75 inches. He ranked ninth in the triple jump and 15th on the NCAA Division II national leader board.

Augustine and nine other members of the team will travel to the NCAA Championships to be held May 26-28 in Stanislaus, C.A.
