Day Two Results

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University men's outdoor track and field team is currently in first place with 46 team total points through two of the three days of competition at the New England Championship held on the Southern Campus.Top finisher Diwani Augustine (East Hartford, Conn.) claimed first and All-New England honors on his final attempt with a distance of 7.40 meters in the long jump.

Logan Sharpe (Esperance, N.Y.) claimed the top seed for the finals tomorrow in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.34.

Nana Ocran (Manchester, Conn.) was the top qualifying athlete in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.84, while Russell Fallo (Redding, Conn.) qualified fourth with a time of 10.95.

Patrick Waszczak (Colchester, Conn.) matched the first place finisher on his later attempts to claim second place in the pole vault with a height cleared of 4.80 meters. Nelson Laskoski (Pomfret Center, Conn.) was sixth with a vault of 4.65 meters. Both men received All-New England honors for finishing in the top eight of their event.

A.J. Guerra (Stafford Springs, Conn.) claimed fifth in the hammer throw and All-New England honors with a toss of 57.04 meters.

Fallo also claimed third in the long jump with a jump of 7.13 meters, while Akeem Elliott took sixth with a leap of 7.02 meters with both men receiving All-New England honors.

Daniel Gaunya (Woodstock Valley, Conn.) claimed seventh in the 10k meters with a time of 31:34.80 and took home All-New England honors.

The Owls are back in action tomorrow at 10 a.m. for the final day of competition for the New England Championships.
