NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University women's outdoor track and field team jumps to No. 1 in the NCAA Division II East Regional. The Owls are up one spot from last week. This is their first time reaching the number one spot since being ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll.

The Owls are coming off an indoor season where they captured their 2nd consecutive Northeast-10 Conference Championship and sent numerous athletes to the NCAA Championships.

The Owls will be back in action next weekend when they travel to the New Brunswick, N.J. for the Metropolitan Championships on Apr. 15-16.
