NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University Athletic Department hosted its annual 'Girls and Women in Sport' Day on Saturday with a record-high turnout for the event. More than 200 youngsters took part in the festivities, which started with a series of clinics with Owls' coaches and more than 100 student-athletes. From there, the participants enjoyed a complimentary lunch and a meet-and-greet and autograph session with SCSU student-athletes. This year's event was supported by the Comcast, Bruegger's Bakery-Cafe and Coca-Cola.
