Kimberly Johnson finished seventh in the pole vault at the NCAA Division II Championships to earn All-America honors.
Day One Results

ALBURQUERQUE, N.M. – Six members of the Southern Connecticut State University women's indoor track and field team traveled to the NCAA Division II Championships held in Albuquerque, New Mexico for day one action today. Sophomore Kimberly Johnson (Lisbon, Conn.) finished seventh in the pole vault with a height cleared of 11 feet, seven inches to secure All-American honors.

Titilayo Vanriel (Hartford, Conn.) qualified for the finals of the 800 meter run as the only freshman in the field. She placed eighth in the qualifying heat with a time of 2:12.95. The finals are scheduled for Saturday.

The distance medley relay team featuring Vanriel, Jaclyn Sullivan (Lisbon, Conn.), Raysa Florentino (Groton, Conn.),  and Alasia Griebel (Bristol, Conn.) finished in 11th place in their heat with a time of 12:24.25.
