Vanriel helped her distance medley relay team place second with a time of 11:51.52 at the New England Championship. It was good enough to break a school record and rank as the 10th fastest time in Division II this year. She also took eighth in the 800 meter run and claimed the 13th fastest time in the nation with a time of 2:13.67. She claimed All-New England honors in both events.

For the field portion of the meet, she claimed fifth place honors with a distance of 17 feet, 10.75 inches in the long jump. Switching gears over to the track portion, she managed third place in the 60 meter dash and eight in the 200 meter dash with times of 7.81 and 25.15, respectively. She received All-New England honors for all three of her finishes.

Both student athletes will be traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico to compete in the NCAA Championship scheduled for March 11-12.
